Question by kelgart (Karin Elgart)
How can I move a credenza?
What would it cost to move a credenza from Philly to Florida? Would we need to make a crate? Should we just wrap in bubble wrap and moving blankets?

You’ll likely use a shipping company for this and not a moving company. I would check with the majors – UPS, Fedex, etc. – but I’d also talk to Navis Pack & Ship, which bills itself as a shipper for hard-to-ship and fragile items.
The company you use to ship the item will give you the best advice for the proper packing materials. I’d also encourage you to buy insurance based on the value of the object.
If you're moving a credenza along with a shipment of household goods, talk to your moving company about proper packing -- they won't want to damage it, so should give you a good answer. And again, inquire about insurance.
Good luck with your move,
