Question by goldstrikers (Chris Anderson)
Deducting moving expenses on IRS tax form
Can we deduct moving expenses if we built our first home and moved from CA to TX?

Answer by tjohnson (Tim J.)
The move must be work-related in order to deduct moving expenses. I don't now if that's the case with your move. Please see this article for more information on deducting moving expenses -- what's allowed, and how to tell if you qualify.
Good luck with your move,
