What's the average weight for a 4-bedroom house?
What is the average weight of a 4 bedroom home, not including the large kitchen appliances? Movers offer quotes based on weight and I don't know how to estimate what my things weigh.

Robin,
First off, the only way to get an accurate price quote based on weight is to have the moving company see EXACTLY what items you need moved. The possessions in your four-bedroom home might have an entirely different weight than someone else's four-bedroom home -- no home is the same when it comes to moving weight.
If you want a general idea of the weight of your possessions, you could fill out an online inventory, like this moving calculator, that will estimate your weight. But again, I wouldn't use that as a basis for a conclusive estimate from a moving company. Have at least 3 moving companies come to your home for estimates.
Good luck with your move,
