FINDING A MOVER

Question by Lynn (Lynn)
Dear Moving Answers,
Upon researching several full service moving companies via SAFER Web, we came upon two moving companies whose legal name is different than their DBA name. Should this be a red flag and therefore, pass on these companies?
Sincerely,
Lynn

Lynn,
Many legitimate and good movers use DBAs. I would just say that this is not an indicator of any kind for the quality of the company you plan to hire.
A more solid records of their past performances, as well as their overall statistics (size of the fleet, relation to big van lines, business age, etc) should play more important role in the evaluation.
Good luck with your move,
