Question by kathycamms (Kathy )
Plastic totes vs. Cardboard boxes
I am moving from Illinios to Wisconsin. I have several items packed in plastic totes, are these okay for moving or do i need to put the items in cardboard moving boxes?

Kathy,
As long as you tape those totes well, and mark them, you are ok. Keep in mind though that totes sometimes don't survive the move completely intact, and unlike boxes that often go straight to recycling after the move, totes you would prefer to reuse.
Also, if you choose straight delivery (the distance seems to be short enough) your items will move only twice (ton and off the truck), so potential damage to the totes or the items inside them could be minimal.
Good luck with your move,
