Moving from two locations to one

GENERAL ISSUES
-> When, what and how to move

Question by jodianglin1979 (Jodi Gennusa)

My husband and I are moving into an apartment, of which he already has an apartment in the same complex, but we are moving into a different apartment. I live in a three bedroom house right now. I need to know if there are movers that will come to my home, pack my boxes and furniture, then go to his apartment and pack our bed and a few boxes and move these items to our new apartment.

Jodi,

The answer to your question is "most certainly". In fact those combined moves are pretty common, since people often want to use the opportunity of professional movers coming with a truck and muscles to move some of the items to a third location, or boyfriends-girlfriends moving together to one home (or sometimes moving from one to two different...).

Since local moves are charged by hour movers never mind having those complicated jobs since you pay for the time anyway. Sometimes its also possible to get a flat price for that kind of a move, but you will need to invite a visual estimator to do inspection in both locations.

When talking to sales people just mention the details of your move and they will give you an estimate based on three locations instead of two. In your case its even less complicated since the second and the third locations are in the same complex.

Good luck with your move,
