Question by jenc6 (jen carter)
Moving small shipment from Pennsylvania to Kansas
How much can I expect to spend on moving? I'am moving from PA to KS, I only have a bakers rack, microwave, bookcase, stereo, and about 35 boxes.

Roughly calculating, your shipment is somewhere around 1000 lbs, maybe a bit more. Most long distance companies have minimum weight requirements (meaning that if you have less you will pay for the minimum weight), and it is often 1500-2000 lbs.
On the other hand, your move is technically east coast-> mid west, therefore you will be looking at $0.50 to $0.65 per lb.
Therefore your move should be in the $750-$1300 range.
Good luck with your move,
