Question by lfowler31 (Leslie Fowler)
Where to get a self storage unit
Would it be better to put all of my home belongings in self-storage in Albuquerque, NM or Torrance, CA. I would get climate-controlled facility in either place. I'm allergic to dust and mold and mildew and am worried about storing my clothing and upholstered furniture and mattresses. The storage is needed for a couple months in between home selling/buying.

I understand that you are concerned about the fact that in one geographic location your items could be more exposed to dust, mold and mildew then in another.
In my opinion, since you already plan to store in a climate controlled unit the choice of geographic location is less important - more important is the choice of the facility itself. See this thread about storing your items in climate controlled unit.
Since you are very concerned about having as much protection for your items as possible I would recommend you to read the thread: Preventing mold growth in the boxes while storing, where I also explain how to protect your furniture and electronics from mold and dust damage.
Good luck with your move,
