Moving furniture and personal items to Mexico
What is allowed and how do you pack to satisfy the mexican government?

Answer by bobfein (Bob F.)
All goods entering Mexico are regulated by the Mexican Customs Law. To get yourself better familiar with the custom regulations and rules in Mexico I recommend reading the following article: http://www.mexicolaw.com/LawInfo05.htm
In general you should consult with the moving company you plan to hire for that move. If you haven't found one yet you could do so by asking for quotes right here. Most of your concerns and questions regarding the particular types of items that you plan to move to Mexico could be answered by or through your mover (you could also contact one of the Mexican customs brokers, or have your company hire one for the purpose of your move.)
Good luck with your move,
