Question by russellct (Russell)

We are considering Security Moving & Storage mover to move from CT to NJ. Have there been any consumer issues? They claim to have offices in both States.

  • Number of complaints processed in the last 36 months: 28. Complaints issues: Sales Practice Issues (1), Delivery Issues (5), Repair Issues (1), Service Issues (9), Guarantees or Warranty Issues (2), Refund or Exchange Issues (1), Contract Issues (2), Billing or Collection Issues (6). It seems like all the complaints were resolved.
    From other sources:

    Summary:

This company is a mystery to me. They managed to create so much negative PR with only one truck? And why having 3 offices in different states?

In any case, I would recommend staying away from this company. It simply had a terrible consumer record.

I would recommend you to do some more shopping around to see what other companies have to offer. You can get few quotes from several long distance movers right here. In any case, never book with a company that did not perform a visual estimate in your house and did not give you a flat price for your move. Good luck with your move,
