What is the best way to pack dishes and glasses?

In short, it is recommended to use professional dish boxes for china and glasses (also called kitchen boxes), wrap each item in clean packing paper (or bubble wrap for the more delicate items), and cushion the box prior to packing the items in it.
The best way to actually see the techniques for packing and wrapping the breakables is by watching a DVD called
"How to Pack Your Life in a Box" by MovingMAdeSimple.net (see this thread where we discuss those DVDs). It gives you excellent educational value for just $12.95.
