Question by dsty1122 (dsty1122)
Moving from Rossville, Ga. to Clinton, Ia.
I need to move a two-bedroom house full of furniture from Rossville, GA. to Clinton, IA.
I can pack everything, but need help loading. I can unload everything. I have
no idea what the costs would be, can you help? I understand that Budget is a
good company to use, from what I have read on your site.

The lowest pricing would be to rent a truck and hire labor only from a local moving company to help you load. They normally have an hourly rate for labor only and sometimes can offer to bring equipment such as dollies and four wheelers to help with the loading.
You can also hire labor at your destination if you have any larger items to unload. They will bring the truck to your home and you can hire labor to help load, then have the self-service moving company drive to your destination, then the shipper can unload.
It sounds like you are looking for the least costly alternative, but there are some other things you might want to compare. First, you might want to get the price from a full-service mover, because it may be less expensive than you think. Then I would compare the cost of truck rental, labor to help load, fuel and other travel expenses. you might find that it is not that much more to have a full service mover take care of everything.
