moving from the east to the west coast

I am moving from New York to Portland. There will be only two or three small pieces of furniture and about 20 boxes. What is the best way to do this?

It depends how much money and how much time you would like to invest. If you have the tiime and the ability, you can rent a truck, load it yourself and drive it across the country. There is also self-service moving, in which a company rents you a truck that you pack yourself, then professional drivers take over and drive it across the country; then you unload and unpack on the other end. Finally, there are full service moving companies that pack the truck, drive it cross-country, then unpack on the other end.
