single item move
Best way to move an antique dresser from South Carolina to New Jersey?
The best way is to ship with a quality vanline agent that will pad wrap and take good care of the piece. They will charge for a minimum weight and this can be expensive. Another option would be to crate the piece and have it shipped by a company like UPS, Pak Mail and other pack and ship companies. This will be less expensive, but they will need to make sure that the piece is packed to insure against damages. Most of these small companies will also give a price to crate and prepare for shipment, which they then will insure against damages. It all depends on the value of the piece. There are also companies that specialize in shipping antique pieces and you can just Google them.
Good luck with your move,
